We have put together some 'Top Tips' that we have found makes life around the home a little easier. Cleaning We find it best to clean with the windows
open so the fresh air can blow through the house and leave it smelling fresh
for when you get home. The breeze will also take away the dust being moved
around. Dusting before hoovering is always best to ensure bits of dirt, bugs etc are allowed to fall to the floor and can be hoovered up. To remove wax from clothing/table cloths place some newspaper or kitchen towel over the wax and using a hot iron, iron the paper to melt and draw the wax to the paper. When cleaning very dusty selves, cupboards etc it is best to use a damp cloth starting from the top then moving down to reduce the amount of dust being moved around.
Ironing If you hang your clothes to dry after washing it allows the creases to drop meaning your garments only need a light ironing and it does not take as long. When ironing a shirt we find it best to start with the collar and finishing with the arms. For those very creased items of clothing use a damp tea towel to iron over the garment or even better iron the garment whilst it is still slightly damp. |
